The vitamin database and the articles in our Guides section are researched and maintained by the editorial team behind Vitamin Guide 4U, a part of Phillistine Records.
Every entry in our database must meet a specific bar: it has to be a real, independently verifiable vitamin, vitamer, or essential nutrient recognized by mainstream nutritional science, not an invented name, a marketing term, or a compound that has been informally branded as a "vitamin" without meeting the scientific definition. We deliberately exclude documented pseudo-vitamins, including compounds historically marketed as "vitamin B15" and "vitamin B17."
Function descriptions describe a nutrient's established biological role in general, factual terms. We avoid treatment claims, dosing recommendations, and language suggesting any entry can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a specific disease. This site is a reference, not a source of personalized medical guidance.
We do not sell supplements, and no manufacturer can pay for inclusion or favorable treatment in our database. Any advertisements on this site are served by Google AdSense and are clearly labeled as such; they are not written or selected by our editorial team.
We periodically review our database and guide articles for accuracy as nutritional science develops. If you believe an entry or article contains an error, please see our Corrections Policy to report it.
